Belle de Jour - dieses Sexblog benennt sich nach Belle de Jour, in dem Catherine Deneuve von der schönen, kalten Frau eines Doktors zur Prostituierten wird. Surrealismus könnte nicht sexier sein.
About.com schreibt zum Sexblog Belle de Jour:
Here’s a quick insight in to the world of a London call girl through her notorious weblog.
Claim to Fame in the Blogosphere: Winner of The Guardian’s newspaper Weblog award; Notoriety in the blogosphere due to her explicit accounts of life as a British prostitute; another blogger-turned-author when she obtained a book deal with publisher Weidenfeld & Nicolson (Belle De Jour: Intimate Adventures of a London Call Girl, ISBN: 0297847821)
Quick Blog Review: Belle de Jour (based on the title of this movie) proves two things about weblogs:
1) Content is the number one attraction for readers; and
2) Several bells and whistles (ultra cool templates, lots of features, etc.) are not a priority when it comes to blogging.
Of course, it probably didn’t hurt that “she” described her weblog as a ‘Diary of a London Call Girl.’ The promise of sex, money, and illicit stories is almost a surefire bait for many readers.
Belle de Jour’s weblog became so popular that it actually attracted the attention of a publisher.
Thus, letting this blogger join the likes of Wil Wheaton, Mimi Smartypants, and Salam Pax (among others) who found book deals through their weblogs.
Its fame also landed it a weblog award in 2003 from British newspaper, The Guardian.
Other than the content, the identity of the blogger and the validity of the stories have also been shrouded with controversies. Some people believe that Belle is not really a prostitute roaming the streets of London, but a journalist in disguise. Whatever the truth may be behind Belle de Jour, the blogosphere may never know.
For now, Belle decided to bid farewell to the world of weblogs.
